A nice summary of Boglins. I personally had Slobster the Lobster and another one that I haven't been able to identify yet...

I had one of these!! I forgot what they were called. I was deep into monsters when I was about 7 or 8. I remember going to ToysRUs right after seeing the commercial.

These were amazing. It was all about ToysRUs for these bad boys. The tail kept falling off mine back in the day, but didn't tarnish their brilliance

I remember having two of these. A big blue one, which the eyes moved left and right that glowed in the dark. and a smaller one which was green with one eye. Ahh those were the days.

Loved em'! my first was a small purple one. I had a wierd experience with him. It was late at night and I was sitting up watching movies. I went to the bathroom and I heard my radio come on. when I went back the Boglin was sitting on top of the radio. He was nowhere near it when I left. Strange. I acquired a bigger one in Indiana, which seemed to be the place I acquired a lot of my most coveted toys. I carried him everywhere. to the swimming pool, to church, to a family reunion ( he was a real hit there ). I have one now still in the box, same kind as I had back then.

The bat boglin was a prototype. There is only one. Supposedly the story is that a designer gave it to his kid. Also, Boglins were brought back around 2000-2001. It didn't go well then either. They are wonderful toys.

Oh, god I'm so nostalgic for these toys right now. Not even thirty yet, but somehow I just started feeling pretty old. Damn website. XD I remember the smell of these, and the tacky, wobbly feel of their skin. I had a mini one with glowing eyes and if you stuck your hand in the eyeholes and pushed the would bug out O_O The big one had the coolest switch control to make the eyes shift. One of the best toys ever, imo. Toys nowadays are boring. I miss all the cool monster toys. I liked them better than my stupid barbies hehe.

Does anyone rememeber several years ago seeing a movie parody made of the princess bride using the boglins? It was incredibly funny! If anyone has any information I would be very appreciative.

Had one as a kid I had him for like 20 min then my dad took scissors to him because I would'nt share him with me lame brother. I have been looking for one ever scince but couldn't remember the name then last night my wife was looking at this site and ask if I remembered boglins and she said my eyes lit up. So I jumped on ebay and now dwork is on his way all the way from the u.k. can't wait to get him

I think about my old buddy(boglin) off and on. We would push his eyes out from behind, using the little finger holds. My sister left him in the back window of our Malibu. A few days later, the sun had somehow melted his outer surface to a gooey, slipper mess.

I honestly had most of these, I started collecting them when I was about 7. I must of had 25/30 of em all in boxes....gave most to my cousins as I got older...sigh....why did I do that?

OMG - I had the blue large Boglin which I used to stretch over my head like a hat and wrap a white sheet from it's head on Halloween! Always was a good earner......unfortunately I threw it in the school bin in 1993. SHOCK HORROR

My 14 year old son's friend slept over at our house one night. His room was in the basement which was quite dark. The friend was sleeping on the bottom bunk bed. My son, quite the tease, had a tan medium sized Boglin with the switchable eyes. He put a flashlight inside the thing making the eyes glow and lighting it up and then because he was sleeping on the top bunk made it bounce along the lower edge of the mattress which made it move in a creepy way. He scared his fourteen year old friend so bad he ran screaming upstairs into our bedroom. It was quite a funny situation. My son had his Boglin for many years and had quite a lot of fun with it but this incident took the cake:-)
