the moondreamers were little fairy like dolls with colored hair and magical outfits that sailed the galaxie in a giant ship with a polar bear and a lion... the only dolls they can be compared to are rose petal place!

I had one of these her clothes glowed in the dark and she came with a red record that was floppy but actually played I thought that was so neat as a child.

I was so excited when my parents bought the dolls for me. I'd carry them with me when we ate out. LOL

I'm pretty sure mine was purple and had an owl with it. And, I think there was some kind of kaleidoscope that came with it too. Am I thinking of some other toy?

I had Bitsy and Roary, Blinky and Ursula, and two of the weird little creatures....don't know if they were bad guys or not. I would sleep with the dolls b/c their hair glowed in the dark. And I think I still have the two pendants that came with them. They were really cute dolls.

I have the one with mauve hair...she's the only one NOT to have glow-in-the-dark clothes.

I'm surprised I was able to find anyone or any website that remembered the moondreamers. Because i could never remember their title, mine had a purple outfit and hair glowed a blueish- green color and a floppy record that my grandmother would play for me in her record player. You kno wthose really big floor modeled types. Didn't those dolls have a corton or something like there own little storybook too? i wish istill had mine might worth some green today and preserve my memory better

I had the little pinky-haired one and I might have had the boy...I can't remember. I liked how weird the hair felt (kind of coarse) and the glow-in-the-dark aspect was cool.

I know I had a few of these! What's strange is that for years later, I could only find their shoes... There's some poor barefooted dolls somewhere!
Jeanne - April 01, 2009 - Report this comment
I still love these! And I still have my winged lion one and another doll.

I had three of those dolls! My favorite was the one with the pink pony-tail. She had a Star on her eye and wore this little plastic disc for a hat that always reminded me of the rings of Saturn.

I remember the song on the commercials. "You're not dreamin' it's the Moon Dreamers" I've always thought that if these guys were really the ones responsible for my dreams I need to hurt them. I have some really messed up depressing dreams.

I still have all my childhood toys for the 80's. My mom packed them all away after I stopped playing with them as she knew they would come back in style by the time I had children of my own. I have all the Moondreamers,My Little Ponies, Care Bears, Popules(?),Pound puppies, Strawberry Shortcake Dolls,Barbies,I could go on and on. Now my kids have the newer versions of these and do you think I'd let them play with my old ones. FAT CHANCE!!!! Still a kid at heart I guess and I don't want anyone to wreak my toys.

I have a couple items that were my daughter's. She's 28 now so I believe they are orginal items...I have the Dream Along Drifter, Celeste and Galaxia - Night Carriers plus several of the dolls and other pieces. I would be interested in selling them. e-mail me at scheelenorma@yahoo.com

I bought the whole set of Moon Dreamers for my daughter who is now 27. I would like to know about how much this set may be worth. It is in excellent condition with the exception of the station fading a little. I believe that I have pretty much all the pieces. I have a fairly large, almost see thru soft plastic piece, that I believe belongs to the central station and I have not seen it anywhere to make sure it goes with this set. If any one can help me, I would appreciate it! Please email me at 3greatkids@sc.rr.com.
