Description
It was a programmable robot which had voice activation and could be operated/programmed by remote control. I got one for Christmas the first year they were introduced in the early-mid 80s and it was a bit over 0 Here's a wiki reference link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnibot

i had the toy. you could program movements on a tape and the the robot would perform the movements witout the remote. also you could set it up so that the integrated clock would wake up the robot and start the tape player so the robot brings you a glass of water in the morning and stuff like that. from tomy company

Yeah, there were actually two: the first one released was just called Omnibot and was about a 14" tall with a plastic dome over his head. Awhile later they released Omnibot 2000 who was significantly taller and looked completely different.
