Description

Orbi was an orange ball with streamer-like strings attached to it. People played catch with it and when they threw it, it went really high and far.

This was the greatest toy. WHen you didn't have this, you would grab a Sedanos bag, fill it with rocks, and use that instead...Heads up!

I had one of these. It did go really far, much farther than I could throw a regular ball... at least when I was 8 y/o. I lost it on the roof of my elementary school in SI, NY and was very upset. I never got it back :(

I have an orbi ball and it broke. Really enjoyed it. Would like to find or buy another one but can't seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find another one?

I was cleaning out my childhood closet the other day...alot of stuff was interesting to find...my eyes lit up when I found my ORBI!!!!! Other then the streamers being a little faded, works just as good as the day I first threw it around. I thought it went far when I threw it as a kid...I bet ya I can "throw this over them mountains over there" now

Wow, I'm so glad I found this page. I used to have an Orbi back in 5th grade (1987). Well I tossed that sucker so far that I lost it in the woods :( Long live Orbi!! Catch the wave!! Oh yeah, I would totally buy one in a heartbeat if given the chance.

Man I miss that toy. Does anybody remember who made it? I'm thinking it was maybe "Wham-O", but I'm not sure.

my little brother was obsessed with these, I remember my mom making them out of wiffle balls and ribbons and trying to fool him with them.

You were on the commercials Dave? You have to remember who made it and if you can still get one today.

I thought their slogan was "catch the rage," not "catch the wave." Lost mine in a huge pine tree at a park in 1987. I lost the rage.

Anybody know or remember who the manufacturer was? dave, if you were on the box, surely you can remember who paid you for your picture? Marie, the new one you found in your mom's closet, does it have a manufacturer's name on it? Thanks.

I thought orbi was a toy in the 60's that had a wheel on it that had suction cups all around. You would pull a string and place Orbi on a window and it would climb up. Worked on any flat surface

a fall afternoon; the fluorescent orange sphere was hard as ice. I swung the orbi with all my might, and hit my older brother in the face.

We used to play with the ORBI for hours. I would throw it straight up in the air and catch it with my baseball mitt. It really helped my outfield skills. Until one day it got stuck in a tree. It eventually came down...20 years later. I love ORBI!!! This toy should be re-marketed and put back in the stores. Toys today wouldn't stand a chance!!! You just need the right marketing ploy.
