Description
The pillow people stuffed doll is made of cloth. It has two very small hands made of material that is sewn together. Two dangling legs with back shiny material for the shoes and white lace bobby socks. She is 18" long x 14" wide. She has blond hair, blonde eyebrows, blue eyes, big round pink circular checks and has a light pink bow on the front of her. She also has lace on the front of her. She is actually shaped like a pillow- squarer at the bottow. No detachable button eyes or anything. Her face is actually more of an imprint on the cloth. She also has pig tails with light pink bows in them. I purchased her in 1985 at a store in Lansing, Michigan, (Meijers.) There were several others designed like her, but I bought only one. They all had their own unique face, etc.

I got my pillow person "Sweet Dreams" 20+ years ago. My brother got "Pillow Fighter" for his birthday the same year. They have both lasted really well & now my 7 year old daughter loves them, especially for taking in the car on long journeys!

I am 24 yrs old and I still have my Punky Pillow, my brother who is also 24 still has his Big Footsteps. My sister who is 25 on the other hand no longer has hers, she actually only had if for a short time due to the fact that she had Pillow Fight and our older brothers thought it would be a good idea to actually fight with it. Needless to say they destroyed it.

I have had "Sweet Dreams" since the day I was born, which was in Dec of 1986. I am now 21 years old and I still have her. As a kid I took her everywhere and people in my family still remember that about me. I just orderd another one on ebay because someday if I have a daughter I want to pass it on to her.

My husband bought me a little sweet dreams doll for Christmas 1985, Then for Valentines day 1986 he gave me the large sweet dreams, in June of that same year, we found another little one, and added one more having purchased it on ebay. I have also purchased a big and small one for my niece and another small one for my great niece. I am 46 years old and still to this day sleep with my " sweet dreams" pillow doll.

I always thought those pillow people were so cute because I use to see DJ from the "FULL HOUSE" show have one. Just recently I went into a store called, "Anna's Linen's" and found 6 different 'pillow people' that they carried! I bought myself the "ROCK-A-BYE" one! I love it! despite the crazy electric yellow locks she has! :)

This was a gift we recieved for no reason when I was a child my mother and aunt had been shopping all day and they put them in our beds while we were sleeping. Well my little brother woke up to a strange person in his bunk and had to mentally and physically attack when everyone went to see what the commotion was about we found him wrestling mario into submission!

I loved my pillow person.I got him in 1986 and slept with him every night until I was 12.Lol. My mom had put him away to save it for me, but there was a fire that destroyed everything including my little stuffed friend. :( He was a cat, I think he was originally grey and had a pink satin belt or something around him.I dont know what the official name was, but I called him Christopher. God I wish I could find another.

What kind of a sicko would make a child's doll with a black eye. The creator of this product must have had a very pitiful childhood.

Deborah - December 19, 2008 - Report this comment
I bought sweet dreams for my daughter when she was 2. I again bought sweet dreams off e-bay 2 years ago to replace the first one, and my daughter was 21. Now she is 23 and her son has taken over her people pillow, if anyone can tell me where to get another sweet dreams pillow person I would appreciate it. I have been all over e-bay and no luck. You can reach me at im22crabby@ameritech.net, if you have any information. This would be a great birthday gift for her, she never stops talking about it. Thanks everyone.

Hey! It looks like they're back! I just went to thepillowpeople.com and there's some info. These were always my favorite things for my kids...with all the hard and violent stuff going on these days, I'm happy to see them return. Oh, and on YouTube theres some old commercials and looks like some animation.

I just cleaned out a storage unit..and sadly they found a few mice in it.I had three of my pillow people in it and two of them had to go since my brother would only let me keep one..which I have to get cleaned now...it was a sad day...it would be great to be able to buy them again. My heart shaped one never left my bed until we had to move..I love the pillow people
