Description
The pillow people stuffed doll is made of cloth. It has two very small hands made of material that is sewn together. Two dangling legs with back shiny material for the shoes and white lace bobby socks. She is 18" long x 14" wide. She has blond hair, blonde eyebrows, blue eyes, big round pink circular checks and has a light pink bow on the front of her. She also has lace on the front of her. She is actually shaped like a pillow- squarer at the bottow. No detachable button eyes or anything. Her face is actually more of an imprint on the cloth. She also has pig tails with light pink bows in them. I purchased her in 1985 at a store in Lansing, Michigan, (Meijers.) There were several others designed like her, but I bought only one. They all had their own unique face, etc.

I am 24 yrs old and I still have my Punky Pillow, my brother who is also 24 still has his Big Footsteps. My sister who is 25 on the other hand no longer has hers, she actually only had if for a short time due to the fact that she had Pillow Fight and our older brothers thought it would be a good idea to actually fight with it. Needless to say they destroyed it.

I am searching for mr.sandman i think that was his name, he was the blue one that had a nightcap on his head. I gave it to my daughter years ago and then when I thought she was "too big" I tossed the drool drenched pillow person in the trash. My daughter was crushed, I didnt realize how much she loved it until she came across a crusty gross looking one on ebay and begged me to get it-I refused it looked really bad. Well long story short my now 18 year daughter advised that she is still devistated ( I guess I dont get it - it was just a pillow) but anyway, I am trying very hard to right my wrong and avoid massive therepy bills-lol, So I am asking all of you if you find a mr sandman (blue w/ nightcap) in good condition please please please let me know, I will do anything to get ahold of one. Thanks a bunch... i will be checking often..

I have what I think is a Pillow Person. It's a dog, sort of peach colored with brown spots right over his eyes. He has an upturned smile with a tongue sticking out, and his nose is a brown plush oval. (When I was little, it reminded me of a potato.) He has two ears, arms and legs sewn on each side and for some reason, and is decorated with a red belt and white buckle. This thing has been at my grandma's house ever since I could remember, before she let me take it home (when I was maybe, twelve or thirteen.) Does anyone know when they stopped selling these things? I was born in 1989, so I honestly don't remember this fad at all. I didn't even know it was a fad until today actually... My theory is that maybe my grandma bought it for me when I was born, or perhaps my cousin's half-sister left it over at her house. (Which is also plausible.) I'm really curious if I could find the picture online... maybe the one my grandma gave me was a knock off? Because for many many years I just always thought it was an extension of Pound Puppies.

Someone please tell me where I can get the Green Dragon People. My son had one when he was 4 or 5, and I remember him saying... "dais da taiwa" ... or more plainly, "there's the tail". lol I don't know if he misses more or I do. He's now 26. I checked ebay, but no one seems to have it. Anyone have one they may want to sell please post it. Thanx much.

In 1989 my mum bought Sweet Dreams and in 1993 she gave her to me when I was born. For nearly 20 years I knew nothing about the Pillow People, only that Sweet Dreams has been by my bed since she was given to me. I had a look on eBay and discovered that these Pillow People are seriously rare, vintage items and some are going for £60+. I would never sell Sweet Dreams. She's got far too many stitches on her for one, but I've grown up with her and she's valuable to me. :) I found a video on YouTube and learned that the whole Pillow People thing was even a children's cartoon! xD I'm just glad that I'm one of the lucky ones to own Sweet Dreams.

I had Sweet Dreams back in 1985 when i was 4 yrs old. She went EVERYWHERE with me, even on a trip to Florida one year. She was destroyed in our storage unit flooded while we were moving house. I was so upset. I'd had her for nearly 17 yrs. I told my husband about her a year or so ago and he found one 5 days ago on ebay and bought her. When she arrives, i will give her to our 2 yr old. I'm so excited and happy :)

I use to have the gray cat when I was little and it meant the world to me. I was in a car accident in second grade and it was a security for me. I took it on a field trip and accidentally left it on the carter bus. My mom tried to track it down, but to no avail. I would love to find another or know the name of it!!!

I've had my"baby" pillow person since 85. It's the one thing I'll never part with.
