Elissa - October 14, 2007 - Report this comment
Mine still works, too! Although, I have to give it a few loving taps every now and then to get the sound to work. Mine is the typical girly pink one. The white one was sweet! My fave tape is Belinda Carlisle with "Heaven is a Place on Earth" and "I Get Weak." I can't believe these these things are 20 years old now...makes ME feel old!

My player was black & pink with a purple volume dial & a pink wrist cord. The only tape I had was by Madonna which featured songs "Who's That Girl" & "Material Girl". I wonder if they are for sale on Ebay?

Rich Smith - October 03, 2009 - Report this comment
Went to a yard sell found one bought it. There were 7 tapes and the earphones. It works an in perfect cond. I was too old in the 80s for them so i didn't know what they were. I may put it on e-bay.

I still have mine with my Bangles tape, My favorite, but I remember having 3 other tapes as well and the purse. (gone into the abyss of time now I guess.. actually I distinctly remember losing my Tiffany tape at the playground..) I would LOVE to have more tapes if anyone is willing to sell. My mom buying mine when I was 3 (!!!) is one of my first memories so it's sentimental to me!!!

I had the white w graffitI on it. This conversation is so funny because I remember pulling it out 15 years ago and realizing it still worked funny how toys back then survived as well as my wachamile.it was a watch animal that went around the wrist it was a blue bunny. I no longer have these because my old landlord robbed me of my childhood materials as well as my entire apartment. Any how I have two boys one 6 one 2 and im sure after there in their late 20's not a dam toy they had is going to work it's great if a toy lasted 2 years now ...everything is made so cheaply now a days. Anyway I had some good times w that rockin out to the bangles and didn't the tape flip over and play the second song. I had I think were alone now Tiffany and walk like an Egyptian and some guy no clue and taquila by whom ever sings that song. Goodtimes :^)
