Description
The Power Lords were a set of "HeMan" sized action figures. I remember them being 2-sided. Adam Power, the main character, would flip around at the waist to become Adam Power from his mild-mannered alter-ego. There were many accessories as well as a comic book series published by DC.

I remember the Power Lords toyline quite well. Especially the commercial. I read the comics. But would have loved to have seen them make a cartoon out of the toyline as they did with He-Man. Unfortunately, the Power Lords was a short lived series. I guess that it was too corny for most folks at the time. In addition, the toys don't hold up well with the test of time, like G.I. Joe and the Transformers, which is still ongoing to this day.

Anyone know where I could find the old commercial online? I was really young, and the "transformation" scene was all I could remember about this toy. I thought I'd NEVER learn who/what it was untill I saw it here.

I'd LOVE to have a complete set of these, (as well as the wind-ups, of which I have 1 mint on card). The vehicles were cool also.

I've got Sydot and Arkus loose but back in the day I thought Adam Power looked really cool and pretty creepy!

I came to this site specifically to figure out what the name of this line was. I had Adam Power and Disguyzor, although I didn't know who they were. Looking at the entire collection, most of these figures are kind of lame. Arkus and Warbot are awesome, though.
