Description
Power Pockets were toys that looked like rectangular black disks. On the front would usually be the Power Pockets logo, a zip cord and an object like a helicopter or motorcycle or a car. You would take out the car and pull out the zip cord and usually you would set up the car on the back of the disk, insert the zip cord into a hole on the side of the disk and then pull it out quick. This would make the car go zooming off or the helicopter go flying in the air.

I could have sworn these were called "Pocket Power" and not the other way around, but oh well. They didn't just have cars and things- they also had one that was a squirt gun you could set to shoot back at the person pulling the trigger, one that had a little pellet gun, and one that was a little military set which doubled as a desk set (eraser, pen, ruler, etc.)

They were definately called pocket power...I have the motorcycle, car, helicopter, and hovercraft. I spent many hours playing with those on during recess in elementary school.

I totally had many of these. my saddest moment was when i took the 3-way squirt gun on my trip to Australia and the TSA guy jacked it from me because it wasn't safety orange enough. what a loser.

OH MY GOD. I have been searching the net for MANY years trying to figure out what the toy was that I had that I remembered just as a small pellet gun being in a credit-card sized plastic case. I did a search yet again on the net this morning and FOUND exactly what I had remembered on your site. I can't even believe it. I just flew to eBay and found some for sale. I'm flipping out. I can't even believe I found what I've been searching for YEARS to find!!!!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/1988-Sega-Pocket-Power-Hovercraft-Gun-Loose_W0QQitemZ150300406850QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 If anyone has more for sale, email me: thedmxprayer@hotmail.com

Man....I had the Glo-Bones one and the damn thing has been popping into my head randomly forever with no memory of what the name was or toy line. It happened tonight and I went searching and finally figured out what it was. I wish I could find more info or somehow extremely luck into finding that figure. It was so cool.
