This was called the Pyraminx. There was also Megaminx by the same company that was a 12-sided puzzler.

I had one of these...it is so easy to solve...once I got the hang of it, I could put the thing together in like a minute.

I had one of these too. I got it for Easter one year, gave up on it, then called it a "pyramid scheme" afterward. LOL.

I had one of these and a Rubik's cube. Both of them really frustrated me. I found out you could "solve" them by rearranging the stickers. Unfortunately, that messed up the required moves that it took to solve the thing. But I was a dumb 8 year old. What did I know?

I still have two of these -- one original, one imitation with the gold-coloured stickers where yellow normally is. These were much easier to solve than Rubik's Cube; I got good enough that I could solve one of these inside of two minutes. I often still can. :)
