Description

There were plush dolls made of Raggedy Ann and Andy. I was born in 1984, and someone gave my mommy a set of them not long before I was born. There may have been other toys of the dolls too. I remember in the 90's the TV series was out and little action figures were made then too.

I had a Raggedy Anne doll when I was a kid. She was the devil. I even baptized that doll once, trying to get the evil out of her! I do feel bad about her demise, though. She was left in a closet, where water got on her when our washing machine flooded the house. I didn't know she was in there and by the time my mom found her, she was all moldy. Needless to say, she met a fiery end in the burning barrel. I feel bad, because I could've at least taken better care of her than that!

Why do some people just hate Raggedy Ann and Andy so much??? DX I think they're adorable characters! In all of the cartoons, there is absolutely nothing I can find wrong or scary with Raggedy Ann and Andy and yes, the dolls usually look like they have soulless eyes, but their bright colors, cuddliness and huge smiles kind of seem to overtake that! You two up there in the comments talking about wrecking a Raggedy Ann doll just sound insane to me... If you guys knew the stories written about her and Andy and maybe even watched some of the cartoons, you might not see them as "creepy". They are very sweet and lovable characters, like I said. Having my Raggedies around makes me feel a little happier. But I can't say that there aren't any creepy Raggedies out there. You guys that think they look scary probably just saw some of the creepier ones and should actually see some of the ones that are actually really cute. The Madame Alexander ones from 2010 are a good example, since those are the same ones I have. They're very bright and cheery looking and they make good snuggle buddies when you're tired or freezing cold. :)
