I received my Rainbow Bright for my birthday. It was the only thing I had asked for and I was so afraid I wouldn't get her. Luckily, my Momma's friend from work went shopping to buy it for my Momma so it would be a sruprise!!!

I used to have one of these when I was 4-5. I also had the unicorn, too. Both were my favorite toy and cartoon at that age. She had those little furry friends called 'Sprites' too, lol. But yeah she is Rainbow Brite.
Breezy - May 01, 2007 - Report this comment
I still have the two in the picture and with the clothes. Another one I made sure my mom held onto and I'm glad she did. Rainbow Brite was the best;)

I had that exact Rainbow Brite, and one of her Sprite friends. I used to push her around in a stroller and ride with her on my big wheel. I also got some rainbow brite stickers and coloring books. I own the VHS of Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer to this day. Oh those were the days. LOL

I had a Rainbow Brite doll! She got marked up with a black magic marker by my male cousin. He was always destroying my dolls. He chewed the feet off my Barbies and decapitated my Cabbage Patch dolls! I'm glad he's not a serial killer now! LOL! I remember a tv special where Rainbow Brite (a person in a Rainbow Brite costume) was at the San Diego Zoo. Does anyone else remember this special?

I LOVED them! I had rainbow brite, her star sprite, who I thought was named starlight, and a big star pillow w/a pocket for her and her sprite to fit into. My little sisters, they are witches from hell i swear, cut all her yarn hair off to expose her bald head underneath and they blue permanent marked her eyes out...heathens!!!
Kelly - September 08, 2007 - Report this comment
I loved Rainbow Bright. I had all the bedding, trash can, curtains, rugs, all of the dolls and the cottage. I recently gave the bedding away and the rug backing rotted, but I have the cottage and all the dolls plus some books and coloring books. My daughter just loves playing with all my old dolls. Thanks mom and dad for saving everything.

So great! I had Rainbow Brite and Shy Violet. I especially loved Shy Violet because she was so me- shy, with glasses, smart, and purple, my favorite color! Just perfect :) I also have the little furry guy. I had the bed set and curtains too, but ended up giving them away to a family friend- too bad, I wish I hadn't! :) I still have my popple sheets even though they're way too worn out to use. I vividly remember having those sheets when I was THREE! :)

My sister and I loved Rainbow Brite. We had the phones, they worked kind of like walkie talkies. You could have one in one room and the other in another room and actually call each other and talk on them. For the longest time I thought they were Strawberry Shortcake phones but couldnt find them online so started looking for Rainbow Brite ones and sure enough I found them. They were sooo fun. Wish I could go back to the 80's and bring back all of my toys. We had so many cool toys!!!

i don't remember having any of he dolls or toys when they first came out because I was only a year old, but I did have Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer on a VHS tape. I don't have it anymore because it ended up being in such bad condition and we didn't have the whole thing. I got Rainbow Brite and Starlight at a garage sale when I was 8 but don't have them anymore. Don't know what happened to them. Now I have the newer Rainbow Brite merchandise, some old books frm a few book sales, a fewer of the newer books, and the movie from a book sale. please bring Rainbow Brite back at the store!

Ah, Rainbow Brite, one of my faves as a child, along with Strawberry Shortcake! What I loved most about this character was that she seemed all about hope, and that every rainy day in life would eventually clear up and become a sunny rainbow. I wasn't allowed TV, so I spent a lot of time in the kid's section at the library reading the Rainbow Brite books. What an inspiration!
Jessica - June 20, 2008 - Report this comment
Rainbow Brite was my ABSOLUTE favorite as a kid! I had the larger size Rainbow Brite, the larger size Shy Violet (she was my fav color kid because I was shy and purple was my favorite color), the smaller Patty O'Green with her sprite, Baby Brite, the dog, dishes, beach towel, book, tons of VHS episodes, the record that has colored pictures on both sides (I drove my parents crazy listening to it and I still have it!), pajamas, pillow, and other things I'm sure I'll remember later. Now I have all the episodes on DVD. I LOVE Rainbow Brite :)

I had a ton of these...La La Orange, Red Butler, Shy Violet, Patty O'Green, Raindbow Brite (in various sizes...I had a big one as well as the small one), her unicorn, a soft, rainbow shaped, carrying case, I even had her convertible car. I'm pretty sure my mom got rid of them...I can't seem to find them anywhere in her house.

I had a Rainbow Brite Doll as a child, but my uncle kept throwing her behind the washer, so I couldn't play with her. I'd always manage to find her and get her back (HA HA uncle chuck). I kept her for years and finally gave her to my former boss, (Whom I Adore), because she alwyas wanted one as a little girl!! She still keeps it in her office.

My older sister had Rainbow Brite (she still does) and my younger sister had a Rainbow Brite play oven, but nothing for me! I had to resort to begging to play with Twink. Years later, my dad -- infamous for ridding our house of all our toys -- gave the play stove to our cousin, who I'm sure wrecked it within days! For shame!

I had two of the 9 inch Rainbow Brites (when I say two, I literally mean 2 Rainbow Brites. Not Rainbow Brite and another doll). I don't know why. So, I had two Twinks too. I also had Starlite as well as the Color Cottage. That Color Cottage was really neat.
