Description
Rose Petal Place was a series of dolls/books. The dolls lived in a garden and each character had a different flower name, Lily Fair, Rose Petal, Sunny Sunflower, etc. The villain's name was an evil Spider witch named Nastina and her equally evil assistant Horace the Horsefly.

I loved these dolls! I still remember one year there was a float with all the characters in the Macy's parade and that just made my whole Christmas!

Remember each doll was scented and had a little rhinestone teardrop on their little flower-hats?

These were my absolute favorite dolls. I just now bought the collection on ebay, with the house and car. And the villian, nastina.

I wanted a Rose Petal doll sooo bad for my birthday one year and they were hard to find. The stores were all sold out. So on my birthday my mom gave me my presents and there was no Rose Petal. She told me she tried to find one and couldn't. Later that evening as we were having cake, she gave me another present. A Rose Petal doll! She said it was the last one at Toys R Us. After that I got the watering can doll house and most of the other dolls. I also had the books.

I still have all my Rose Petal Dolls. The coolest thing is watching my daughter use my coloring books and play with the dolls. I'm glad my parents taught me to take care of my toys and that they saved them for me.

There is this perfume that I wear, and wouldn't you know I couldn't pinpoint where I remembered the smell. Finally, it came to me. Rose Petal!! I miss the 80's

I still have the cassette tape with the songs on it. I also have the rose petal house and car. The only doll I have been able to get is the daffodil one, But I've been lucky enough to get a few different clothes for her. My kids love having toys I played with also.

I LOVED these dolls when I was little! I used to think Rose Petal was made for me since my name is Rose. LOL! I still have my Rose Petal and Iris dolls.

I love these! I found a couple at a yard sale when I was little...always wondered what they were called. I love their little sparkly legs and scented blue and pink hairs!

Yes I was a teenager when I had a Rose Petal Doll & House. I left to go to college & left strict intructions for nobody to mess it while I was away. College life was short lived & when I returned home, so was Rose Petal & her house. I am grown now, but still I wish I can get a replica of it & all the rose aromas I had along with me. I only have one rose bath drop fragrance left as a reminder. That was very special to me.

I've been looking for the name of these toys SINCE the 80's when we found the whole collection at a garage sale. I played with them faithfully but nothing on them had the name! Wow...I don't know where my set went but I'd love to find it!

On ebay I listed three Rose Petal Place items this week on ebay--the Teapot palace, Roadster and the dolls in 3 separate auctions. What great toys they were! We just don't have room anymore.

I begged for a Pitterpat cat and got one for my fourth birthday, only to have it disappear a day later. I'm 28 and still looking for the darn thing. Anyone know where I can find one??

Rose Petal is so much a part of my childhood. My sister I played the tape until it popped. We memorized the whole thing and would act it out for my mom. My sister recently brought another tape off of ebay and refuses to let me borrow it. Good memories.

I have the rose petal doll still with her cottage and the furnishings that came with the cottage the funny thing is I was just curious on how 80's toys were priced to collectors and I can't find anything on the cottage and barely find anything on the dolls until I ran across here. And still no pic of the cottage but reading all the comments I know I wasn't alone now LoL!! It is amazing how alot ot the 80s toys are coming back for our kids to enjoy them too.

I only had the movie and 2 books. I always wanted a doll, but didn't get one. A couple of years ago, I bought Rose Petal and Lily Fair off of ebay. I love them!

I LOVED Rose Petal! I had the dolls, the books and the movie. I thought it extra funny that my dad's name is Horace ( like Horace the Fly, the villian)
Kel - December 02, 2008 - Report this comment
had the pink one. I also wanted to mention that the reason I looked this up was that I have the Stella McCartney perfume in the purple bottle and I love it because of the familiar scent. It reminded me of a toy from my childhood but I couldn't remember which one. Then it came to me, it is the same scent as my pink rose petal doll. So if anyone loved that scent, you should check out that perfume. Just thought I'd mention it.

NASTINA......every time I see her I think of a shopping trip to Child World with my Dad. He has since passed. I think he wanted her more than I did. I just wanted a toy at the age of 7. Now that he he is gone. I want her back. He thought she was so funny. When I see her on E-Bay I want to just bite the bullet and buy her. She reminds me of good times... of laughter, life, playing in the woods, and just real childhood happiness.

I had the Rose Petal and Daffodil dolls. I also had the book and tape- A Garden of Love to Share. These were my favorite toys when I was a little girl. It's sad to think that they don't make toys like this anymore.

I loved Rose Petal - and still do. I found this website while I was looking for other sites/ebay stuff. I had Rose Petal and Orchid (found her at a garage sale). My next door neighbor/best friend had the blue one. Her sister also had a Rose Petal I loved their little shoes and legs or "tights" that matched their outfits. We would play "Rose Petal" in my back yard and make my mother play Nastina! I'm going to look for that Stella McCartney parfume because I can still remember how wonderful the doll smelled! I wish they would bring all the dolls back!

I remember these dolls SO well! They were my favorite cartoons because I loved flowers so much. They were so pretty and intricate. I have NEVER met anyone else who remembers these dolls so it warms my heart to see that other little girls played with them too! Does anyone remember the board game?? I can't seem to find it anywhere :(
