I still have my "digger" doll, a gift from an uncle I lost. Took me years to find out what he was though.

I remember having a Halloween costume that was Pam the Panda. When I was a bit older I was able to watch a few of the cartoons when Cartoon Network first came on. Then they showed all of the older cartoons, kind of like Boomerang does now.

I had one that i think his name was Digger and a monkey I can picture him in my head but can't think of his name. I think it started with a B.

I had a Shirt Tales book on tape. It played songs about exercising. The songs were: Fit Is Fun, Stretch Your Stripes, The Panda Push (push-ups), Swing and Sing (swinging your arms), The Raccoon Run, Hop A Lot, and Rest Is the Best. You would turn the page when Tyg Tiger would blow his whistle. I loved to sing along with the songs, especially in Stretch Your Stripes, when Tyg Tiger would sing: "and ROAR! And stretch your stripes once more." LOL

I had a monkey (Bogey) when I was little and to fall asleep, I'd rub it's head because it had soft hair... Well, it eventually went bald. Grandma bought me a new one and he sits next to my alarm clock to this day! :o) I loved the Shirt Tales!!!

I don't think I ever saw the cartoon, but the characters were cute. I have some of the magnets on my fridge (yard sale finds). I just said this on the Critter Sitters board, but did any of you guys see the Disney "Chicken Little" movie that came out a few years ago? I just recently saw it, and my son and I love it. Some of those characters remind me of Shirt Tales and Critter Sitters. *(wanting a stuffed Morkubine Porcupine from "Chicken Little"--no, wait, I want a REAL one :):) :) ) *

I -still- have my Pammy the Panda plushie. She used to have a nice, bright pink bow on her head, and her pink tee said "Smart cookie", but after at least 23 years of much loving, she is very dingy and well-worn. So I have one of my baby dresses on her, and my daughter knows to 'take care' of Pammy. Pammy is one of the few toys that have stuck around all of these years for me :)

My Mother gave my Son Shirt Tail puzzles, the ones with big pieces. I also still have the table and 2 chairs and the step stool for reaching things. I am about to pass them on to my Son's daughter. And thanks to all above who helped me remember the names we forgot
Lori C. - April 26, 2009 - Report this comment
I had the game, the cards, and stickers. Of course, Pammy the Panda was the favorite...she was so cute. And everything in Pink was great, of course.

Hahaha! I thought I was the only one who remembered these! There was Digger (a mole), Tyg (Tiger), Bogey (orangutan), Pammy (Panda), Ricky (racoon). This was one of my fav cartoons to watch!! Digger & Bogey were may favs!

I remember getting Digger at Hardee's. Later on after a rainstorm I found a hole in the ground filled with water and dunked Digger in there and left him. Don't ask why I did this. I don't know why myself.

my son loved the Monkey Bogley, does anyone know where i can find one.? I kept the monkey but this past x mas my granddaughter took it home. This Mokey reminds me of how easy it was for my son to love as a child. I would like to get the monkey back and give my grand daughter a replacement .

I never saw Shirt Tales somehow but my husband loves them. To this day the stuffed penguin pillow his mom made him sleeps in bed with us. I'd love to get him a new one, not to replace his, but as a surprise since you can't see what the old one is anymore. I made a slipcover for it because it is so near falling to pieces. His 30th birthday is coming up and I would love to find it for him. I found this site while searching for one, wish me luck!

I would love a penguin one as well. I thought there was a penguin, but none of the sites show it. Too bad I loved my penguin. Im now 40 years old and loved the cartoon. I see it on tv from time to time and my daugher watches it now as well.
Tiffany - January 14, 2013 - Report this comment
These don't originally come as pillows, but as fabric to make into the pillow forms. You can find the fabric for them on Etsy and Ebay. My husband was also missing his penguin and I was able to find one there! If anyone knows what the penguins name is I would love to know!

I had the walrus pillow, made by my mom.. loved it and brought it with me everywhere. Tonight while having my family over to see my newborn baby boy, I received my old pillow back and a brand new one for my boy.. Mom had an extra fabric template stashed away for 31 years.. what a wonderful gift

I had the penguin pillow as well. I wanted a stuffed penguin so my mom got the fabric and made me my Shirt Tales Penguin pillow. I can't remember. Did the penguin pillow had a saying on his shirt? And, if so, what was it? Does anyone remember?

My children had a book reader with a cassette that you pushed buttons to change the story. I cannot remember what it was called I am sure that it was made by Fisher Price or Mattel. They had a Shirt Tales book about Digger's Birthday. Some songs were Sunrise Surprise and If They Could See Me Now. I would love to find this.
diana noftz - March 23, 2015 - Report this comment
Does anyone have the lyrics to Sunrise Surprise"? We used to play this every morning on our kid's birthday to wake them up. It was a fun way to start the day

I have Tug and now have the Wallarus. I have found both at garage sales. I find all my vintage toys at yard sales and they might not be perfect but to me that does not matter. I just love having toys that remind me of my childhood.
