Looks like a flashlight, but you put a cartridge in the side, and it's like a slideshow, only way cooler.

I ued to have one of these around 1983 when I was around 12 years old. I had a Spider-Man cartridge and I used to invite my friends round and put shows on under the stairs in a cupboard (much like the one Harry Potter lived in at his relatives home.) I still remember the smell of the plastic casing. Great!

I remember this, and the cartridges are still being passed about. That was such a magical machine in my eyes...I was six hehe. Spidey was the original, and you could collect others in seperate casings. Just google it, and old commercials come up on youtube. Fun! Memories...

i had a red and black showbeam and it was on of my favorite toys. at the time we still had a black and whit tv, so this was the only way i could see some of my favorite cartoon characters in color :)
