I still have a vhs tape of cartoons from back during the 80's and there's a commercial for Smooshies on it. They had a catchy jingle.

I loved my smooshies. My favorite was the fish that you crammed into the fishbowl. I also had a giant coloring book and I would color in it when my sister was at preschool.

I had a one that was a dog that got crammed into a little dog house on top of a multi colored ink pen. The dumb brat next to me in second grad stole it from me. I beat her up to get it back!

I had the fish that went with the fishbowl. I also had a Christmas ornament from 1988 that came with a Santa smooshee. I still have that ornament and I'll be turning 26.

I still have all of my Smooshies! I don't think I have every one of the animals that I know of but I do have most of them except for the people. My very first one was the fishie with the fishbowl home! I'm 28 now and I still get tempted to play with these every now and then.

I had a smooshees that was a bat with a tree trunk and one that was a ghost with a trick-or-treat bag. I haven't known what they were called for about 20 years.....but it was freaking awesome. I think it was the only 2 that boys would want to play with from judging from the pictures of other smooshees

OMG I completely forgot about these! I remember a friend gave one to me for my birthday. It was a white mouse that smooshed into a chunk of swish cheese! My sister stole it and used it as Barbie's stuffed animal.

I have the pony, I've had him for 28 years and he's so worn out from all the love I've given him. I tempted to buy another from ebay!!

Smooshies were definitely my favorite toys when I was a young child, and I remember the pain and long hours searching to no avail when I lost them. I had the one with a skateboard (apparently "Sammy Skateboard"), the astronaut, dog and spaceship, and another person that came with a duffel bag. Such fun!

I'm 31 and I still have all of my Smooshies and surprisingly, they are still in great shape despite the fact that I played with them so much when I was little. The only smooshies I didn't have were the people. I'm an animal lover so I never cared for the people. lol I'm so tempted to play with them again!

I was given a load of these in the 80s from my uncle who designed them, Brian Gough. He also designed the Dollops (now if you remember these you are really old!!) Heidi the rabbit was named after me. I bought one off eBay a while back to show my kids and tell them their mum had a toy named after her! They weren’t impressed... but it makes me smile anyway :)

Heidi - If you read this comment, I would LOVE to learn more about your uncle and how you had Heidi Bunny named after you! I am a big-time Smooshees collector so this was so amazing to read about!
