Description
They were cheap but all the rage. You snap them on your arm and they wrap around. They hurt some kids once and they have been banned in some places.

They were known as slap wrap bracelets where I was in California.

My school banned them as well. Since they were banned, we went back to playing our pencil snap, paper football, and origami fortune teller games. LOL!

They were totally called slap bracelets! I had a green one that drove my second grade teacher insane! My husband has a scar on his wrist from a friend hitting him with one!

Hey try looking for your Slap/Snap bracelets at a party supply store (like card factory outlet and the like). They used to give them away as prizes at Chucky Cheese.Theres also a place (and I believe they have a website too)called Oriental Trading company. At either of these places you might have to buy a lot of 10 (or more).. just think of it as a life time supply or be nice and share with your friends that werent able to aquire any..Hope this helps...

You damn straight they were banned from schools! We would always wear them to school. It didn't matter. We got away with wearign the black ones because we'd put American Red Cross emblems on it and the teacher thought we had a condition. Nowadays, you may spot some at your local Hot Topic

banned from my school You could die from them or somrthing stupid. I do remember being a bit pannicked when they told us how dangerous they were. lol

They were considered dangerous because kids were having their wrists cut by them when they were slapped with them. Though in the beginning they were made with metal I believe they are now made with plastic. I see them at Nobbies (The oriental Trading company store) as well as the quarter machines at stores.
