The Star Wars action figures are pathetic compared to what they can do now-a-days, but I loved them as a kid. I loved to reenact the movies...especially the Rancor scene.

I always remember looking at the back of the packages to see which characters I wanted.

Star wars action figures started the era of smaller action figures that nearly every company has tried to copy. I remember trying to collect them all and put them in my cool Darth Vader case. They may have not been at detailed as todays figures but they were alot of fun to play with.

I remember having most of the Storm Troopers and the 1st Yoda and a few others. The Light Sabers were built into the arms of Luke and Vader,Classics!!!!

I was born in 77 a little after ep. 4 debuted. The only SW toys I had were the "Movie-mini scenes" that let you reenact the ep. 5 scene where Luke and Vader fought in cloud city toward the end. My cousin had almost every freaking toy!! I loved going to his house. Does anyone remember the lightsabers from the 80's? They were of course plastic, about a yard long, painted and fashioned after the movie ones. I remember if you swung it, it would make a whoom sound due to the opening in the top. I wouldn't mind having one again now that im 30.

I had loads of the star wars figures and ships. They would be worth a fortune today on eBay, and what did I do! I gave them to my brother who fed them to the dog......damn brother.

Man, I look back at old Xmas pictures and there I am opening up my new Millenium Falcon. I had all the figures. Back then you actually got a good toy for the buck. Nowadays Walmart expects you to pay 150.00 for the same Millenium Falcon. Curtis, you are right, I loved the old ones the best, even if they didn't look like the actual actor (as they do now) but back then they were .99 cents as opposed to 7.00 a figure today. Bring back the 80's toys (and prices!!)

I agree with you drew, I was born in 72 and i grew up on the original star wars, it was magical, and I had a ton of figures, most got lost durning moves, I still however have a handful of them left which are in very very good condition (from 1977) I passed them on to my youngest son who is also a very huge fan of the original and new star wars movies. Sure the new ones look great compared to the old ones, but back in the day I spent more time playing with them and make believeing i was in another galaxy far far away.

I still have all my Kenner's Star Wars action figures and most of their accesories. Hope to put all of them in special diorams in a near future but I want to get the few characters I don't have. Here in Guatemala is difficult to get them but I don't lose faith.

Star Wars...the coveted toys of the 80's. Always wanted an AT-AT. I think my favorite was the millenium falcon and the snow speeder....awesomeness.

I was addicted to these action figures. It was forever Star Wars vs GI JOE! I had a playset back then called I believe, The Legend of Zendo. They gave everyone a run for their money, too!:-P

What a girl wont put up with for the millenium falcon!!!!!

My brother got a ton of these. He had to have surgery, so my Mom brought him one (or two) every time we went to visit him. He gave them to me after he grew up and left home. My older son played with them, but we've moved a few times, so they are now somewhere in the garage!
