I don't think I have my old sticker album still. On the toys that are in my mom's attic, I believe, are some stickers! LOL! I remember vividly the stinky skunk scratch and sniff sticker (that made me want to regurgitate! I can still smell it when I think about it), and the Colgate toothpaste scratch and sniff sticker.

When I lived in Westland, which is a city in Michigan for a while, I had a sticker album with a red dinosaur cover on it. I don't have it anymore and it was filled with stickers. Many years later, i bought other stickers and other sticker books to put the stickers in.

I still have my sticker book from 1984. I loved that thing....scatch-n-sniff, wiggle eyes, puffy cabbage patch kids and garbage pail kids and care bears. Anyhow I have a daughter who loves stickers and I am going crazy trying to fund an oldschool album like mine. Any ideas???

I was the sticker queen! I had the little vinyl book with the giraffe on the cover and put all my stickers in there and then ordered a book via mail and cut all my stickers out of the small book and glued them into the big one! I remember that bananna scratch and sniff were my favorite but no one ever had them for sale and that popcorn smelled gross... I had one big round sticker that said 'Gag me with a spoon" and also the stickers that were puffy that looked like they had silvery paint in them and when you pressed around on them the colors would swirl into irridecescent silver and blacks and greens... I still have all of them... I used to take sheets of stickers out of the package and then staple them together and keep stock of them in seperate folders... OMG- I loved stickers!!! Fluff N Stuff was the best place to get them aside from the School supply stores....

I remember being very fond of these big tall stickers that had little girls in bonnets and aprons. They kinda resembled the Precious Moments stuff but were different. I used to collect them from Thrifties or other drug stores when possible. It seems like they vanished in 1983-1984. Does anyone remember those or am I just hallucinating?

Anybody wanting to find anything about 80's stickers try eBay. I bought more than I'll ever know what to do with off there. lol There's always tons being listed from sniffs, oilies, fuzzies, puffies, holograms, satins, Hallmarks...everything. They are all on there or have been at one point and will again. Just keep your eyes out for what you are looking for. If you care to check my 80s stickers out on there I am ID missmidie and am selling mostly Hambly Studio stickers but have many different others as well. Even an 80s Sandylion unicorn sniff tattoo new on backing. :o)

I have just recently decided to start collecting scratch and sniff stickers. I'm in my late twenties and I used to have a sticker book that I can't find that said My Sticker Album on it (blue). Does anyone know where I could find something like that again? I am about to start looking on ebay but I was hoping to find something at a local store. My favorite stickers were Mello Smello and Stinky Sniffers. Am I too old for this? All of my friends keep telling me I'm crazy! LOL

Amanda, just curious 2 know..did ur old sticker album have a bunch of little cartoon people on it? Just wonderin' cuz mine was blue & had them & it seemed like alot of kids near me did 2. If u don't want 2 buy 1 on ebay, try a borders bookstore. They might sell something like that...or even walmart! But, ebay does have all the old scratch & sniff, puffy, & goggly eyes stickers...but really, they're not cheap. & no..I don't think ur 2 old.I'll be 30 soon & have 3 kids & I collect 80's toys, games,& stickers. We're not crazy..we're just unique! :)

Oilies, trend sniffs, puffy, satins, SMURFS... I'm dying to find these puffy, googly eyed lil vegetable/groceries I had as a kid. I'd kill for em.

The grocery-googly-eyed puffies I'm looking for were up on ebay once(right b4 I started collecting)item#380094689944. In case anybody wants to see them. I would kill 2 have these again. I asked the lady that bought em if she was interested in selling them, and she never responded to me. LOL.. She probably thought I was a nut. Anybody have any favorites that may spark up some of my memories? I'm trying to think back to what I had so I can look for them. Oilies were my amazing discovery lately....
missmidie - April 01, 2009 - Report this comment
Lori, I found two different listings that may be what your looking for they are #s - 270338776921 & 270338776860. I hope this helps. I just typed in puffy eyes as many people call the googly eyed stickers different things. Good luck! I do find that recollecting is a little bit addictive. When I was a kid I had extreme limited funds ($2-$5 a week) and now that I make my own money I find it hard to hold back from collecting ALL that I want and wanted back then. lol I collected mostly unicorns and Lisa Franks as a child and that's what I mostly collect now as well as cats and rainbows too. And sniffies have been my latest interest. ☺ I just bought a huge collection on eBay that had over 30 different oilies in it as well as over 90 Toots among other stickers. So I am excited about that. I do a bit of sticker selling on eBay to help support my collecting. I buy eBay lots or albums or collections and pick out what I need to fill in my collection and sell the rest to other collectors so they too can get the chance to pick up the ones they need. I also got my grade school daughter started into collecting and she gets to pick ones out for her collection as well. Her collection is 3 times bigger than mine was as a child. So she's doing pretty good herself. If anyone is interested I found a few websites that have just amazing personal collections that I love to refer to when I need. They are - http://www.vintagestickers.com/ http://sniffstickers.amylynnegraphics.com/ http://stuckonstickers.net/stickerindex.html http://www.geocities.com/bakorox/ Good luck to all of you fellow sticker collectors!

Thanks missmidie! I'll check out those sites! I did look at those googly eyes...unfortunately they're not the same ones. :( U shud post some pics. I'm sure we'd all luv to c some of ur pages! I need to start seeking out rainbows. Just haven't had any "visions" (lol) that remind me of my childhood yet. What about glow in the dark? I remember those. Just don't remember what they look like. Does anybody remember?

Your welcome Lori, I did find an auction that may be what you are looking for as well. It's - 170316752035. If this isn't it I I'm sorry but I do hope you find what you are looking for. I'm part of an 80's sticker group on Facebook and have a few pictures there. But I need to get pics of my collections here soon. I thought of starting a group on eBay but just don't have the time right now to manage it.

It is a shame that you can't find sticker albums anymore. I went into a store and asked if they sold them....the girl had no idea what a "sticker album" was. Sad. Hallmark does have some photo albums that have the oldschool sticky, peel-back pages. They are just like the old pages we had. And u can buy refills too!

I had a Care Bears sticker book. I remember one time we were to go rollerskating at school, but my mom forgot to put my permission slip in my bag so I couldn't go. When I got home that day I had a whole stack of Care Bears stickers waiting for me, because when she realized she forgot she felt bad and went and bought them for me. I remember one part of the book said never to offer Care Bears sweets if you don't really have any, because that hurts their feelings. The idea of someone hurting a Care Bear's feelings always made me feel bad.

OMG This morning I dug out my old blue sticker album from the 80's (says "My Sticker Album" and has a bunch of different pics on the cover). My son is potty-training and loves stickers. He fell in love with my album, which is already full. I need to find him his own sticker album like this. But all I can find are plain pages, or albums themed after disney or movie characters. Has anyone found the old-school albums that are just "general" and have colorful/themed pages?

When I was little my aunt got me and my cousin sticker albums with our names on them. I had scratch n sniff, moodies, hologram, 3D, puffies. My favorites were the sparkle puffies with unicorns and rainbows. My bedroom door took the overflow, then my brother started putting his on the bedroom door too.

I think I still have my old sticker book. It had all kinds of neato stickers in it - Michael Jackson, holograms, those silver ones that changed colours when you turned them, puffies, scratch-n-sniffs, etc. When my teacher would put a sticker on my test paper, I'd peel it off as carefully as I could and put it in the sticker book. :)

In 1994 I accidentally sold my large 80's sticker collection at a yard sale and will pay a good price to have it returned to me. It was sold in NH to a girl of about 10(I will provide more details to anyone who has a lead). It consisted of mainly two albums and possibly two thin albums (The first binder was a large aprox. three inch photo album-style 3-ring binder, brown cover, with the stickers stuck to the pages. There may have been a Garbage Pail Kid stuck to the spine. The second big album was a one inch spiral wire style photo album that had a reddish/maroon cover with a pattern, and the stcikers were stuck to the pages). I have searched yard sales all over the area and even put ads in the paper. If any of this sounds familiar, please contact me ASAP at childadvocacy at hotmail dot com. Thank you so much!

I had a wonderful 8 by 11 SPIRAL BOUND and thick sticker album with themed pages..a page for wiggley eyes, a page for scratch n sniff..and a section to write information about me and my stickers..even pockets to keep stickers for sharing! I still have it..but not in the greatest condition. Would LOVe to find one for my 3 daughters! All I can find are junk..skinny non-themed pages or the kind that come with stickers and spots to put the stickers. BORING! I loved my sticker album and I know kids today would love it, too! Why aren't there any good ones out there? The best I've found is this one. http://www.raemacreations.com/ Is is NOT spiral bound and thick and the pages are regular paper..not laminated..but they are THEMED and decorative pages and they do have a section to write about the child and the stickers..sorta a bio page. This is as close as I have found but still not close enough!

I had a sticker album from Hallmark. But unfortunately, through the years, it was damaged. Does anyone know where I could buy a vintage album? I'd love to replace mine, if at all possible. tricia.t_72@yahoo.com THANKS!!

Still got mine! The skunk one would make me throw up, but for some reason I found it funny to keep smelling it. And continue throwing up.

This makes me feel so much better. I'm 37 and I just started recollecting 80's stickers. I keep telling everyone it's for my daughter....that's not totally true! I have no idea what I did with my original collection - I'm guessing it got thrown out or sold at a yard sale. UGH! We used to go a store called Affections to buy most of them. What great memories!! Maybe we need to start a support group! ;o)

I don't know if someone already mentioned what I'm about to contribute but sticker collecting is probably the fondest memory for me as a child who grew up in the 80's (born in 1972 but my tween years were early to mid 80's). LISA FRANK!! My sticker book that was like a 3 ring binder with a puffy vinyl blue cover that I believe had yellow butterflies in 3 rows of 4 columns decorating the front!! Where are the oily stickers. A girl in my 6th grade class was jealous because I was the only one with the penguin oily sticker in our entire class and she dug her nail in the bottom of it. From that day on that chick was band from touching other people's sticker books especially if you had a page dedicated to oilies - if only life was still so simple!!!! Memories......

Ok I don’t feel so bad for reliving the nostalgia of the 1980s and those sticker collections. When I grew up I never really stopped collecting because then there was scrapbooking……lol…… but those stickers weren’t the same because they weren’t the awesomeness of the 80s!!! Am I right?
