Don't know which came first, but there's also a movie by the same name. Can only find it on VHS and it seems to be rare. Would love to get it again. Was a cute story.

It was called Sweet Sea Produced by TMS Entertainment,,,,,I have one of these copies...and yes they are very rare and extremely valuable....

I designed the packaging for the Sweet Sea doll. It was such a lovely doll. It was a little ahead of its time since The Little Mermaid came out a few years after Sweet Sea went off the market. I still have the box and accessory blister cards for sentimental reasons.

I got her for christmas from my grandpa.i LOVED this doll. SHe is impposiable to find now .I have looked all over the internet for one.

SWEET SEA!!! I only remembered her as the "mermaid" doll from the 80's. I think I was so into her b/c I had recently seen "Splash" with Darryl Hannah and loved it. I used to play with this doll each time I took a bath. I loved her hair.

Sweet Sea was a beautiful doll! I Loved her curly hair and sea shell necklace. I once took her outside in the winter and her tale fin snapped off in the cold. I was so sad! I'd really like to find one in mint condition.

mine is at my grandma's house in the attic. i remember her hair turning into dreads after a while. i still have the inflatable sea horse too.

This was my favorite doll! I never ever wanted to get rid of her but my mother did when she was old and her fin fell off. I would do anything to have her back. I use to use crayons as makeup and give her lipstick and eye shadown so mom told me that Santa Claus Came and took her to the Island of Misfit toys(like in Ruldolph)every X-mas to this day as 20 some old years later I cry as she teases me about it! To this day I can remember I received sweat sea for my 4th b-day my grandma gave her to me. She was my favorite doll. I watched this tape so many times that it wore out :-( I wish they would bring Sweet Sea back! Email the company. Maybe if they get enough emails, they will think about re-introducing it to the next generation!
