Now you too can look like a street thug from the fifties with a comb that opens just like a switchblade.

At least in NC they are illegal since you can remove the comb and replace it with a blade.

How do you remove the comb from the switchblade? P.S I am in Australia so I'm not sure if our switchblade combs are any different to the American ones.

I got a few of these at wildwood NJ on a trip, had lots of fun. I replaced the comb on one with a steak knife for someone. They were made cheaply but held up well. You cant comb long hair.

Sturdy at first, but not good for thick hair, the short teeth on the comb are also hard to clean... but for the novelty alone, I still use it. ( warning, never hold it threatingly...) people get nervious in school...

I got one after watching "The Outsiders" in 8th grade. I would keep it in my back pocket and keep a watch for "Socs" that would start trouble. Unfortunately I would encounter hostile cholos instead.

I can remember being about 10 or so when my grandparents took us to SeaWorld. After begging for an hour or so they bought one each for me and my brother. Mine was taken off of me after i was using it to whack my brothers fingers. Never saw it again.

these are actually illegal due to their likeness to actual switchblades.
