Description

They looked like regular Cabbage Patch Dolls, but they talked. They tell you when they're sleepy, hungry and bored.

These kind of freaked me out a little. I just never liked a lot of fancy stuff on my toys. We spent too much time in trees and playing outside to make batteries and electronics that much fun.

Mine was scary!! It made a whirring type noise when its mouth moved and it smelled funny, sort of like burnt plastic (??). Eventually the batteries leaked all over and then only the mouth moved and she made some odd sounds. I never liked her as much as the one my mom sewed for me. Does anyone else have a home-made cabbage patch kid? Apparently they're supposed to be worth a lot more then the originals. They were plastic heads that came with a pattern to sew the body and they were really from Xavier Roberts. I have a boy and a girl.

I really loved my little doll, but then decided to watch 'Childs Play' and that put me off it forever!. It now lives wherever I can't see it, I'm just too sentimental to get rid of it.

I had one and I never liked her as much as my other Cabbage Patch Kids. She was heavy and blocky feeling.

I had two talking Cabbage Patch Dolls as a child, one blonde and one redhead. They were incredible toys... I would turn them on together, and after a while they would become "aware" of each other and begin talking back and forth. They even sang songs in harmony together, which I thought was the coolest thing in the world! :) After a few years, something happened to the redhead that made her unable to sense her cup anymore to take a drink. She would beg for "her little cup," and I always felt so guilty I would have to turn her off every time she became thirsty (which never took long). Even with the malfunctioning mouth though, those toys were two of my absolute favorites growing up. :)

I still have mine. I remember saving up money for a Cricket doll. When I had the money saved, we went to the store to get it...and they were out. My mom suggested a talking CPK instead. I thought she was better than Cricket.
