My brother had one. I think he pulled the string too fast too many times or something because eventually it was speaking extremely fast where you couldn't understand him well at all.

I remember having one of these! And I still have him actually! He has the same problem that all the other ones apparently have. He talks way too fast! That's awesome!

We have TWO Pee Wee dolls. You have to let the string back in slowly to make it talk correctly. We love our Pee Wee!!! My five year old's doll is still in the box. She loves Pee Wee so much that we bought Giant Underpants!!!

I still have mine. His voice box is warped or something, because when you pull the string he talks super fast. I remember wanting Chairy at one time, but never being able to find it.

To fix the voice going to fast or slow you have to remove the voice unit inside and open it up, as soon as you remove the first cover you will see a spring that is placed between 2 pins with several pins to each side, move the spring to what ever side slows down or speeds up the voice as desired. Be sure while removing the cover to keep the other pieces from flying apart. This is an easy fix (I figured it out myself in about 5 minutes) Enjoy!

I have one too. Actually my mother still has it because she saved some of my good toys from when I was a kid. Mine also suffered the fast talking problem shortly after it was purchased. People always use Ebay as a place to value their items but seriously, a person can ask whatever they want for something on Ebay, that doesn't mean it's what they'll get. If you look in collectible toy books they're worth around $50, not opened and with the voice still working.

Several years ago the Oregonian's Living section had a picture of Pee Wee on the front; it was valued at $99 at that time.

I have a Pee Wee Doll and the pull string has been completely pulled off. Is there a way to take the doll apart and repair/replace the string so that he is able to talk once again?

PeeWee Herman dolls, in mint condition, have gone for more than $5000.00 in auction earlier this year! Hold onto this doll!! There's money to be made!! PeeWee is now "very" valuable!!

This solution is not for a toy to be played with by a child. Tape 1, 2 or 3 quarters to the pull string ring. This should add enough weight to slow it down. I have a Steve Urkel doll and his ring is large and three quarter work well on him. You just need to add weight to the ring.

I just got one that a friend gave me after I told him Pee Wee was probably his twin brother. It talks fast. So, I have no idea what it says. I don't care how much it's worth. To me it's priceless. I found this thread, thinking I wanted to fix it. But the more I think about it, now I wonder if I could customize the voice box to use subliminal verbiage.

Does he say anything besides "hey what's that? Made you look" and "I know you are but what am I"?

I received this doll when I was a little girl because I watched Pee Wees Playhouse. I was apparently so afraid of the doll that my parents had to return it.

Mine is quite unique. If you pull his string his hand starts to move real fast. Don’t know why. And his voice is real fast. If I slow it down it kinda sounds like “Oh yeah!”

My name is Hibbert Davidson, I’m so delighted because I never believed I could get rid of the negative items (Eviction, collections, late payments, medical bills and student loan) recorded on my credit report. Couple of months ago I contacted some credit repair company (Lexington law, online impostors) after paying a nonrefundable deposit service charge, they could barely delete any items from my credit report. I became troubled and decided to express my feelings to my colleague at work who referred me to a credit expert called HACKNET I contacted him on HACKNET567@GMAIL.COM/ 949 397 8437. I explained my problems to him and I gave him a try and the job was done neatly, he raised my credit score to a high 820 now I can apply for anything. He can fix Chex system and a DUI report as well. I believe most of you have credit issues and would probably consider this opportunity.
