Description
Similar to Scaletrix. Electric track and cars controlled by joysick. The cars were the first to change lanes and had lights!

Actually not similar to Scalextric, these are HO scales cars and track but are quite fantastic!! Original company who made them was Ideal, and can still be found on the net or Ebay. But be warned!! you need the slotless TCR cars, ordinary slot cars will not work.

My Brohter and I had TCR and would play it almost every day during the summer and winter when it snowed. Our cars had a tendancy to fly off the track if we approached the turn to fast. I sure miss this race set and whish I caouls fins it somewhere. Quess I will have to try Ebay. Found out that it was recalled due to a fire risk with the controllers or something with the power supply or track. Loved it though and want again.

Good memories come to my mind... TCR that was the hottest race track ever. Me and my now deceased brother played for hours....

I still have my TCR set and loads of extra track and I have about 20 diffrent cars. Alas it is all in the loft as I can not get any tyers to fit them and the old rubber has long since perished. A real shame as it all still works and it was so much better than slot car race tracks.

Rob V, you can still buy brand new tires from sellers on eBay. Just look for Silicone Super Tires. They are the best out there.
