Description
An offshoot of Rubik's Cube, sort of. A gray sphere slightly bigger than a softball, it had two halves that could be twisted to turn the multiple slots with colored beads into one continuous slot where all the beads ran together. Since each slot had its own color of bead, it was challenging to get each color bead back where it should go. Like the Rubik's Cube, a solution booklet was also available for purchase with The Orb.

THAT'S what it was called! I had one for YEARS and never knew what it was called. I remember that it had three "settings", one was the four circles like the one in the picture, then there was two lines, then there was another four circles again. Never solved the thing.

had one, solved it, loved, wish there were more puzzle toys these days. Make my kids think a little bit instead pushing buttons and everything is done for you. Used to play with this in the car, by the time I got there, puzzle was solved
