For the Saturday cartoon series, DIC/Columbia Pictures had to obtain rights to the "Ghostbusters" title from Filmation. That company produced a live-action "Ghost Busters" series in 1975. The stars were former "F-Troop" regulars Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch. A third character was a costumed gorilla. The two series were totally unrelated.
