Description
This was a series of dolls for girls that were smaller than Barbies. It consisted of an entire family. There was a weird dollhouse which was divided up into rooms, but had no exterior walls and had a removable roof.

I had the whole set. I still have the mom and baby. The mom is missing an eye. My daughter plays with the baby and some of the accessories. The mom creeps her out too bad LOL.

I have the mom and baby too! The mom lost her eyes in a bathing accident many years ago, and sadly the dad was lost in a garbage bag because of my mother...he will be missed

One of the first toys I remember!! I had the house with the mom, dad, and little girl and the farm with the grandma and grandpa!! I remember the chicken on the farm would really lay an egg and the pump had running water and the cow would give 'milk'!! What fun!!

I am now 39 and still remember playing with my Sunshine Family. I would set it up anywhere and play for hours. Sometimes my parents would have to find me in the wheat field behind the house. I had horses from my sister's who had the town set from the wester show on TV and Steve and Stephie would always ride off into the sunset every night. I am thinking of getting rid of the whole sunshine set as I have no children to hand them down to...anyone think that is crazy let me know...I don't know what to do with them.

I too had the Sunshine Family dolls as a kid. I had the craftwagon and I played w/ it for hours. I'd make lots of things for the to sell onthe travels about the country, lol. I don't know what happened to them. I'd love to have a set for my daughter. Val, I'd be happy to pass yours onto the next generation if you still want to get rid of them! Seriously!

...I was just looking up childhood toys on the computer when I came across The Sunshine Family...I remember getting them and their craft store for Christmas when I was like seven...I would play with them for hours...Anyhow...I had forgotten all about them...but apparently not...because tonight I realized something...I have a 19 year old son...named Steven...and a 17 year old daughter...named Stephanie...who I call Steffie...I must have filed those names in the back of my mind and retreived them in later years...Its just so odd for me not to have realized that I did that...I just thought it was kinda funny...Just wanted to share...

My sister and I had this set too. We also got their dog and cat with the pet house which was a double decker home! I have no idea where the dolls went but the dog and cat I still have to this day. They were the best part about the Sunshine Family in my opinion.

The Sunshine family was a classic hippie family that were GREEN way before it was chic to be. They grew their own produce, and sold crafts and recycled. They were so cool, and I collect them today! I even have the rare Sunshine prairie wagon and horse. Love my sunshines... still and more!

I had the Sunshine Family, the grandparents and the dog and cat...all I have left is the cat. Now at the age of forty something I would love to have them again! Better than my barbies...

I am amazed on all the men on this site that had the Sunshine family... I used to steal my sister's Sunshines because they were so cool. We even played out in the creek and woods with them

I have my Sunshine family still too. I have a commune. The Happy family friends are living with them in a big house I made. I wish Mattel would release them again.

One of the best Christmas presents I ever received was the Sunshine Family Farm! I had the entire family, grandparents too, and this was the icing on the cake! Funny how some toys really leave an impression!

We had them 2nd hand from a garage sale in the mid-80s. Mom, Dad and Baby Sweets, along with the cool 4-room house and a bunch of furniture. I recently began buying them on ebay again to play with with my daughter!

Along time back, my daughter had all the members of the Sunshine family. I now have a collection of cows and old milk bottles, so I kept the Sunshine family cow that gave milk, and the chicken that lays eggs, and the rooster. It's great to look at it and remember my daughter Michelle playing with it.
