Oh, my God! I had that toy! That thing had not even been in my mind for YEARS until I just saw this post. '79 to '82 would have put me into the four to seven year old range. Thanks for posting.

It was around 1981 when I first got one of these, as did my oldest sister. Back then, we had just moved to Bitburg Air Base in Germany. I had the pilot Woodsey, while my sister had this very set. Man, such memories. And, what I almost would not give to find these again.

I also LOVED these toys and everyone I talk to about it also loved them. I still have Milkweed and the Grandparents but their log house and tree house are missing. I would love to buy some for my son. I think their should be a petition to fisher-price to bring them back!!!

We had tons of these. My Mom stepped on one in the dark once. When it squeeked, she thought it was a real mouse! We still tell that story.

I also have some of mine left, but can't find them all, and would love to complete my set for my Grandkids, I was just sitting here telling my sister, that I "ate" my broom, and my chairs and a few hands had bite marks. Too funny that we all craved that plastic--lol. Also Wal-mart now has toys called wood-zees not as cute, but cute none the less.

Love the woodsies! They were my daughters - I saved them and let my grandchildren play with them and read them the books - Seasons with VB Bird and Lightening Strikes Twice. I would like to add to my collection if anyone is interested in selling some of theirs.
