I actually want an older Chevy Avalanche because they remind me of Tonka Trucks with that TOUGH plastic shell.

They have brought them back for the 60yr anny. I just bought 3 of them for my nephews. 2 front loaders and 1 dump truck. All metal with the plastic wheels.

I had a Dump Truck that was a Tonka Truck! Those things last forever!! My brother got one every year. Ours were the tough metal ones. We cleaned out our parents garage and they were still in there with a few rust spots, but still in great condition. I haven't seen any built strong like that lately!!

Oh how I loved my Tonka truck I had a blue wrecker and I think my brother had a dump truck, we got them for christmas in like 1972 and I can remember them lasting well into my teen years lurking at the bottom of my closet

I loved Tonka Trucks. I can remember being able to put one knee in the dump bed and roll around in it. Man that thing was sturdy. I miss the old toys.

I love it how when we were kids they had to make toys like these from metal!! cos we would trash the hell outta these things. Ive still got my first truck, 20 something years later, its got a bent axle smashed window, and its a little rusty! now its all plastic junk these days

My dad painted all my metal tonka vehicles green to match my hundreds of green army men that so captured my attention back then. I miss them...lol
