I've been hunting one of these for my grandson - my kids had one years ago and LOVED it. 'Have found something similar online called "Crazy Train" but would love to see this one come back. Any idea who the manufacturer is?

My son received one of these fun toys about 1978 or so from an uncle who said he bought it for him because he wished he himself could have had something like it when he was a kid. We still have all but one piece, one of the blue round bases for the turnaround which we lost when our house flooded. The only manufacturer info I can find from the part of the box I saved is DAH YANG TOYS with a red crown logo containing the letters "D" and "Y" within it. The inside of the front of the box shows a diagram of the 10 numbered pieces and how to assemble, along with the name "New Deluxe Tumbling Loco." On the outside is found "item no. 2011D, made in Taiwan" as well as "Watch! It's amazing action!" My son is 35 now, but still wants to keep what we have and hopes to find the missing part someday on e-bay or ??? (It's part number 4, the round blue part the small station house sits on, although we still have the station section of that part.)

We have a Tumbling Loco and bring it out for Christmas and special occasions. The engine is going bad, apparently the connection between the battery and what propels it is too old to function properly and its sealed so we cannot get into it. Is there anyone who either has an engine and wants to sell it or knows how to get the engine to chug along the way it used to? We are all grown now but love this toy and would like to have it function well again.

My mom recently passed and I found my favorite toy from childhood. I got it home and was very sad to find that the engine no longer works. If anyone has an engine that works or knows how I can fix or replace it I would be forever appreciative.

I picked up a Tumbling Loco at an auction. The engine did not work at first but I was able to repair it. All of the pieces are there accept the top battery cover to the Locomotive. I secured the battery with some wire ties. I'm interested in selling it. Email me and I'll send you pictures. mjlind1910@yahoo.com

Bought one for our daughters first Christmas in 1979. It is still a hit at Christmas but this year, after some work, the engine runs but the plastic gears are stipped. It was made for Spencer Gifts of Atlantic City, NJ in 1977 according to the box.

I have one as well but it has been in the box a very long time and the engine isn't working. I bet a handy person could get it going like the gentleman in these earlier posts did. I'm not handy though. There doesn't seem to be any stripping or tough wear on the engine to hinder it from being fixed. Email me if you want to buy it. jenniferlstarr@hotmail.com. It has all of the tracks.
