Description
Made by Tyco, it consisted of a race track but with 18-wheelers and dump trucks, etc. They had their own items to tote. Example: The gravel truck had it's own gravel bay, when you backed the truck up, the gravel would pour in. Then drive the truck to the dump area and, well, dump it!! There were additional pieces you could add (like a fire station or an airport) to make it huge!! You can find them up for auction on Ebay.

I still got my sets! One christmas my dad went to sears and bought me a set on christmas eve before closing. there were several sets with broken boxes so he made an offer and got a whole bunch of track and trucks! Christmas day we had trucks running all through the house! front to back! I still got it all! in boxes!

Had a fairly large set (from either JC Penny or Montgomery Ward) with a red dump truck and a yellow Peterbilt, plus a spare yellow and red cabover cab, and had the red flatbed and yellow gravel trailers. Got it for Christmas in 1983-4. In 1986 my brother got the Motor City set with the blue and silver dump truck and red Pete with car carrier trailer. None of it is left except for a few pieces. In 2006 I started amassing stuff off of Ebay (and even found a set in a hobby store a couple years ago). I have them set up with an HO scale model train at the RR depot museum in my town. There really needs to be a new version of these. Kids who come to the museum love them.
