Description
Water babies were small vinyl dolls with a small place in their back that you used to fill it with warm water. After it was full of water, it would feel more like a real baby.

A little girl I babysat for had this doll and its "twin" a similar doll filled with a syrupy substance. One night their dog(a HUGE rottweiller )got a hold of both dolls-- let's just say guess who got stuck cleaning up THAT mess!!
I still remember the song "moves and jiggles and feels so real, it's my water baby". They make many variations in stores now, ones dressed as various characters and that do various things.
"My water baby can hold my hand, just like my baby sister can. Moves and jiggles and feels so real, it's my water baby!"
Why do I remember that?
Well, they felt real and all if the water was warm. It's when it got all cold that they started feeling depressingly dead. I was deeply bothered by that.
I always wanted a water baby and never got one I was tempted to buy myself one just to appease that desire in high school I remember I went to a friends bday party once and she got one and I took it and wouldn't give it back, haha, sorry Brandi!
Yup I still have my original one. I just bought my niece an Ariel one for Christmas.
