Chubbles came in different colored robes... I seem to remember they somehow "talked" to each other with the flashing lights and bleeping (like furby does now)...can anyone verify this?

They were actually called Chubbles. I had one and it was my security toy when I was young. I carried him with me everywhere like Linus and his blanket. He's in my attic somewhere. I used to send valentine's day cards to Chubbles. He was literally a part of the family. Mine had a purple cloak. They reminded people of the Jawas in Star Wars. They had no logos on their cloaks when they first came out and came with either Purple, Blue, Red, or Green colored cloaks. Later the next year they released them with the chubbles logo sticker patch on the front of the cloak. The ones with no logo on the front of the cloak are more valuable. They later came out with smaller flocked battery operated Chubbles that sat about 4 inches tall. They later introduced Chubble's blue fuzzy friend Chiggles, that only came in the one color style. He was sound activated so when lights triggered chubbles to go off, his peeing sounds would start the Chiggle's sound censor to go off. They also had a simlar toy out called a Beeple which looked like a cross between an Ewok and a sasquatch which were not as cute but had the same lights blinking on the eyes and nose.

Found a Beeple in a box of my kids' old toys. It is cute in a weird way. Has a place for battery. It does look like a fuzzy little monster but cute. Trying to figure out if it's worth anything to a toy collector. About to have a big garage sale.

I still have my Chubble, he has the teal green cloak w/logo. His lights and chubbler no longer work after an unfortunate near drowning accident. I love him anyway. Would love to acquire a functioning friend for him if anyone is interested in selling one.

My favorite childhood toy was one of the 4 inch flocked versions. I think his cloak was blue. I got him at Kroger. I remember coming home with him and watching The Muppet movie with him. Since he was sound activated when I laughed at a funny part so did he. If I could have only one childhood toy back.it'd be him.

I have a green cloak chubbles with a logo. Had him for about 28 years. His battery doesn't work but I still love him. He even won a teddy bear Competition when I was in primary school. I'm keen to find out their worth also.
