I had one of these! and the little family that came with it were like little squirrels and they squeaked when you squeezed them. They were adorable! and there was rubber furniture like a little table that looked like it was made of logs and some tiny chairs. These were terrific toys!

I had this too! It has been so long, the "house" had velcro on the door flap and it became log-shapped. I loved the squirrel family. I think the little one wore a red hat.

I had this toy. I think it's still in my mom's basement. It came with a book that told you about how they got this little house. Toys today just are not as cool as this!

I had one too! I loved them... the little squirels had hollow sleeve like arms that you could put your fingers in so they were kinds like a puppet! the mom had a little red dress with blue print andone of those little house on the parairie type hats that in the old days they wore to sleep... and either the dad or the little boy had blue overalls with I think a white and yellow stripped shirt- for some reason I had been searching for them under the name of squirrelkins- does anyone know what I may have been confused with?

I still have mine - Momma, Pappa, and Milkweed Woodsy. I've been trying for years to find Grandma and Grandpa's store and the Uncle's airport so the family can be all together. It's still my favorite toy 30+ years later.

I loved this toy. If I remember right, it had a rubber handle on top so you could close up the velcro flap with everyone inside and carry it anywhere. I think it also had a companion book. I remember a part where they all hid in the house during a lightening storm. Does anyone else remember that?

I absolutely loved this! Mine was second or third hand so I never knew it came with a book or furniture. All of mine lost their hats but I still have them. I called the son Tom.

I still have mine like this. I just couldn't part with it even though I'm now in my 30's. I still even have the mom, dad & kid squirrel and the broom & bucket.

I had this toy and loved it! I took it to a playground once and lost the mom in a sandbox. I was very upset about it. I think the dad and son are in my mom's basement with the chairs and the log house.

Woodsies!!! I hope my parents still have this and I can let my kids play with it! The lightening storm in the book sounds familiar and I remember the little boy being named Milkweed!

*Gasp*! I have the log house and the family, and the books's floating around somewhere in the house. :-D But, I had no idea there were other sets! My sister & I would spend *days* on stories involving the woodsys and our other toys. :-)
