"Don't You (Forget About Me)", Favorite Songs from Movies, Songs Beginning with N
Movies in the eighties had some of the best soundtracks, and the most memorable and popular songs at the time seem to have sometimes outshone the movies themselves. As I get time I'll add more songs to this list, feel free to send me your additions to the list. If you want, try and list which scene during the movie the song appears during. Oh, and the whole "Valley Girl" soundtrack get's an honorable mention since it's packed full of great eighties songs. I also rank and review other eighties soundtracks on my Soundtracks of the Eighties Page in case you are interested.

By far, the best song from the 'Rocky' movies. Every time I hear it, I wanna get into my car and just drive as fast as I can without any worries at all. - It just gives me a pure adrenaline rush whenever I hear it! An underrated song probably because it was performed by a guy who no one never heard of before and who ending up a one-hit wonder!
"No Easy Way Out" by Robert Tepper used in the movie Rocky IV
"No Explanation" by Peter Cetera used in the movie Pretty Woman
Another fantastic soundtrack with cuts by Roxette,Natalie Cole,Robert Palmer,David Bowie,The Red Hot Chili Peppers,Jane Weidlin(Go-Gos),Go West,Lauren Wood and Roy Orbison! David Foster penned this tune as well as plays on it with a fantastic group of LA studio musicians! An incredible power ballad, Cetera never sounded better! Had it recieved airpaly this could have easily been a hit for him! Or Chicago for that matter who Foster also penned numerous hits for! Another awesome song on this soundtrack I just have to mention is Christopher Otcasek's version of Iggy Pop's "Real Wild One(Wild One)"!(I like ike this one better!)If this doesn't get you pumped up...call a doctor! I would pay cash money for Billy Idol to redo this song! It just screams(No pun intended) his name!

Super cheesy title song from a super cheesy movie.
"No More Lonely Nights" by Paul McCartney used in the movie Give My Regards To Broad Street (1984)

This song is played at the scene where Horace Pinker is about to get electrocuted by the chair.
"No One Lives Forever" by Oingo Boingo used in the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
The part where the two yuppies are killed in their car, on the radio this song was playing. It suited the scene perfectly, If you have heard it before then you know what I mean. It is like a halloween song with scary lyics.
"No Secrets" by Van Stephenson used in the movie Secret Admirer
Although Van acheived some notoriety with his Country group Blackhawk his his solo stuff never got the airplay or recognition it deserved! He is backed here by amazing guitarist Dann Huff and the rest of the guys who would later go in to form the super AOR band GIANT! This track is from one of his two 80's LPs(now found on expensive but worth it import CDs) Both of these LPs have Huff and company backing him. Van contributes another awesome track to this soundtrack entitled "You've Been lied to Before"! He also contributed" Make It Glamorous" to "The Wild Life" soundtrack and "All American Boy" to the "Slugger's Wife Soundtrack"! Again, these are off his solo LPs as well! Van sounds at times like Bryan Adams backed by TOTO! His lyrics(somethging he was honor for!)are simply brillant! One of my favorite movies of the 80's!(Could Lori Loughlin be any cuter?!) I recommend this soundtrack whole heartily with songs and rarities by Tony Carey,Kim Wilde,Jan Hammer,Timothy B. Schmidt & Don Felder(Eagles),Nik Kershaw among others! Sadly,Van died from cancer in 2001. Van you will be missed!

Modern Girls is the movie with Virginia Madsen and Clayton Rohner (of Just One of the Guys fame)where he plays dual roles of Cliff and rockstar Bruno X. They spend the night club hopping in LA. "Not Tonight" plays twice in the film. Awesome flick and my favorite 80s movie, besides Breakin'.
