"Don't You (Forget About Me)", Favorite Songs from Movies, Songs Beginning with Y
Movies in the eighties had some of the best soundtracks, and the most memorable and popular songs at the time seem to have sometimes outshone the movies themselves. As I get time I'll add more songs to this list, feel free to send me your additions to the list. If you want, try and list which scene during the movie the song appears during. Oh, and the whole "Valley Girl" soundtrack get's an honorable mention since it's packed full of great eighties songs. I also rank and review other eighties soundtracks on my Soundtracks of the Eighties Page in case you are interested.

What can you say about St. Elmo's Fire & it's soundtrack just incredible! Awesome exclusive rarities by Jon Anderson(YES),John Parr,Airplay featuring Peter Beckett of Player,Billy Squier,Vicki Moss with Richard Marx & David Foster all backed by TOTO,Foster and some of the best musicians on the planet! Besides Parr's title track and Foster's usual brillance one track stands out for me. "Young and Innocent" by Elefante! This is popular christian singer John Elefante and his talented brother Dino. John scored in the 80's with AOR supergroup Kansaa with songs like "Play the Game Tonight" & "Fight Fire with Fire"! His amazing voice backed as noted above by TOTO & Foster has to heard to be believed! How this wasn't a radio hit I'll never know! To this day it remains not just as a favorite soundtrack song but as a favorite song period!
