I Liked It When I Saw It The First Time, Entries Beginning with V

This page is inspired by the comedy of David Spade. Yes, David Spade. During his stay on Saturday Night Live, he would occasionally put things down that seemed to copy things before them by saying something like "I liked 'Black Sheep' the first time I saw it, when it was called 'Tommy Boy'". So this is my attempt at ranking on the movies and television programs of the nineties (and present) by pointing out what they copied from the eighties. Since there always seems to be a lot or unoriginal ideas in Hollywood, this should be an easy page to fill up quickly.

I liked "V.I.P" when it was called Charlie's Angels
They're pretty much the same. Three female cops that look amazing.
I liked "V.I.P." when it was called The A-team
I liked "VH1 Classic Metal Mania" when it was called MTV Headbangers Ball
Both shows that play great, classic metal videos. Though "Headbangers Ball" is now on MTV2, but only play the death/speed metal garbage & nu-metal junk. At least "Metal Mania" airs hairband videos like what the original "Headbangers Ball" did in the '80's.
I liked "VH1 Classic: We Are The '80s " when it was called New music videos!!!
I liked "Valentine" when it was called My Bloody Valentine
Ahhhh, what a rip off!
I liked "Van Wilder" when it was called Ferris Bueller's Day Off
I liked "Vanilla Coke " when it was called New Coke
Both were well thought out ideas by Coke. One was a good fairly successful idea; the other tanked.
I liked "Varsity Blues" when it was called All The Right Moves
I liked "Vault" when it was called Surge
Actually, I didn't like either of those nasty drinks.
I liked "Veggie Tales" when it was called Davey and Goliath
I think Davey and Goliath was actually from the '70s but I remember watching it until Junior High-1980.
I liked "Velvet Revolver" when it was called Guns 'n' Roses
All but the lead singer.
I liked "Vin Diesel" when it was called Steven Seagal
I liked "Vin Diesel" when it was called Wesley Snipes
I liked "Vince Carter" when it was called Dominique Wilkins
I liked "Vivica A. Fox " when it was called Pam Grier
Vivica A. Fox is fine, but Pam Grier is still fine at 50. Didn't you see "Jackie Brown"?
I liked "Volkswagen Golf IV" when it was called VW Rabbit GTi
When the littlest VW was true to its roots and really could blow away the Camaros
I liked "Voltron: The Third Dimension" when it was called Voltron: Defender of the Universe
I liked "Voltron: The Third Dimension" when it was called Voltron: Defender of the Universe

What else can you think of that is ripped off from the 80s?
