Scenes From Movies of the Eighties, Movies Beginning with G

What was the most memorable scene from an eighties movie? Was it when the Blues Brothers make an impossible leap over the drawbridge, or was it when Bender in the Breakfast Club leads the group through the deserted school corridors while trying to avoid getting caught? Whatever the reason, whatever the scene, let me know and I'll share it with everyone else.

Ghost
When Sam and his friend (in the beginning anyway) are in the elevator on their way to work and they pretend his freind has some horrible, contagious disease. Then he sneezes on some guy and everyone in the elevator is all scared.
After they get done blasting that green ghost, they walk out into the hallway and Venkman yells "We came, we saw, we kicked it's A$$!!"
Egon, Ray and Winston are downstairs by the ecto containment unit: "I'm worried Ray. It's getting crowded in there." "How's the grid holding up?" "Not. Good" "See this? Say this twinkie represented this morning's P. K. evalence sweep, this twinkie would be ... ten times bigger and weighing six hundered pounds." "THATS A BIG TWINKIE."
When the guys are clearing the dining room in the hotel, turning over all the fully laid tablesand Venckman stops them with "Wait, wait, I've always wanted to do this." He then grabs the tablecloth and gives it a sharp tug. Every single item on the table smashes onto the floor except the center- piece. The camera shot changes and off camera we hear him boast "The flowers are still standing!" Cracks me up every time.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
When Lyn and Jeanie watch the havoc they created at Natalie's debutant party by making copies of the invatation and passing them out to all the punks in the city. And Jeff Jeanie's would be boyfriend notices them and Jeanie indicates it was all her doing. All my girlfriends and I always cheered and sighed at slumber parties at that scene.
When they go down to the basement of the Fertellis to hide out and Chunk smells ice cream.
There are two scenes in this movie that need a lot of attention. The first scene was where the kids go up into Brand and Mikey's attic to see what's inside there. Chunk is dressed in a pirate's outfit and Mikey was telling the story of how Astoria was founded by a bunch of rejects. Chunk says: "kind of like us Mike....The Goonies." Mouth responds to Chunk by telling him: "I'm not a reject." Mikey says: "Take that stuff off. You're going to get me in trouble."
When Chunk is in the room with Loff( the handicapped Italian brother) and Chink's on the phone talking to the cop, and Loff is looking through the ice cream and says "Rocky Road".
One of my favourite scenes in this movie is when Mouth demands that Chunk do the "truffle shuffle" before Mikey steps in and sets off the beautifully filmed gate opening device with the chicken & bowling ball! Absolutley classic!
When the Kids end up at the bottom of the wishing well where they find all the coins tossed in over the years. Mouth thinks they found the treasure and starts diving for all the money. Andy, realizing where they are, tells him that "You can't take that, those are somebody's wishes...somebody's dream." To which Mouth, staring at a coin in his hand tells her, dramatically, "Yeah, well, you see this? This was MY wish, MY dream...and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back...I'm taking them all back." As he dives back into the water.
Chunk doing the TRUFFLE SHUFFLE!!!!
The scene when the mom and Rosalita are leaving the house after Mouth's "Instructions" for cleaning, and right after she tells Data to use the front door from now on, she looks down and points to the potato chips on the floor, and says "What is that?" Chunk looks up at her, scared to death, and says "Oh shit, What?"
After they find the printed moeny and Brand says its counterfit. Data goes "No its not!"
Mikey and Mouth won't let Chunk into the front yard until he does "The Truffle Shuffle".
The part where there down at the wishing well and Mikey is making his speech about his time down the well and the adults up there and at the end of it where he goes "And it's all over when we ride up Troy's bucket".
  • When she thinks shes kissing Brandon, but its actually one of the other guys, and she says"Brandon,do you wear braces?" and her friend starts laughing.
  • When Chunk starts talkin about how he puked in the theater and all that other stuff, and he starts bawlin.
In the scene where Chunk and Sloth are going down the cavern and he sees the broken pipes he says: "Yeah. Mikey's been through here alright."
When Data finds the counterfeiting machine in the fratelli's basement and everyone starts screaming "50 dollar bill, 50 dollar bill"When the boys brake the statue (the David replica) and they "fix" it. Brandon says....:"If God made you like that you'd all be pissing in your faces."
When Chunk offers Sloth a Baby Ruth and Sloth says "RUUUTH RUUTH BABY RUTH!
At the restraunt, Chet orders the old 96er, which is a 96 ounce steak. The chef brings out, all cooked, Chet stares at it then looks at the cook who says "Bon Appetit!" Chet takes time eating it then halfway through, everybody in the restraunt watches him try to finish eating it. He went slower and slower when he got to the final piece and went he got to the last piece, he was stuffed and was trying to get the last piece in his mouth while his arms were shaking, puts it in his mouth and everybody cheered and applaused him.
