Scenes From Movies of the Eighties, Movies Beginning with P

What was the most memorable scene from an eighties movie? Was it when the Blues Brothers make an impossible leap over the drawbridge, or was it when Bender in the Breakfast Club leads the group through the deserted school corridors while trying to avoid getting caught? Whatever the reason, whatever the scene, let me know and I'll share it with everyone else.

The scene where Gil (Steve Martin) is in his bedroom with Taylor (Alisan Porter) and asks her if she wants to throw up. Taylor agrees and proceeds to vomit on Gil and begins crying. When Karen (Mary Steenburgen) comes in and askes Gil why he is just standing there, Gil replies "I'm just waitin' for her head to spin around!"
Pee Wee's Big Adventure
The scene where Pee Wee is dressed as a hotel employee. He gets on the PA, and says in a deep voice, which belongs to someone else.........."Paging Mr. Herman, Mr. Herman you have a telephone call at the front desk."
The Large Marge scene ("when they pulled the body from the twisted...flaming....wreckage.....it looked like this!)
Pee-wee finds himself in a biker bar and tries to use the phone and the bikers kick him out. Then he "accidently" knock down the motorcycles in a domino effect. They are furious and vow to kill him but grant him one last request. He puts on some platform shoes and dances to "Tequila" on the bar. It's a classic!
One of the scariest scenes ever in horror films is when Pascow comes back to Louis at night to tell him not to go to the place where the dead walk.
The night after Neal Page (Steve Martin) and Del Griffith (John Candy) had to share a bed together, they are shown sleeping and (accidentially) cuddling when Neal wakes up confused and holding Del's hand. Neal asks where his other hand is and Del replies, "Between two pillows." Neal yells, "Those aren't pillows!" and the two start screaming and jump out of bed. It's such a funny scene.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
Steve Martin and John Candy are headed the wrong way on the expressway. They pass between two semis, and the rest is priceless. I can't stop laughing when I see John Candy laughing as satan.
The ice cold stares between Pvt.Chris (charlie sheen) and Sgt.Barnes,When Elias faces his final doom surronded by Viet Cong soliders, he was previously shot by Sgt.Barnes of his own platoon out of spite.
Police Academy 2
Tackleberry and Ellen go back to her apartment after their first date. She says that she had a great time, and he agrees. Just when we think she is going to close the door for the night, she tells Tackleberry that she loves him. "Ditto!" he replies, and the two prepare to make love. But first, they remove each other's guns. Leg holsters, body holsters, everything. Then, a gun hits the floor in the clothes. Ellen turns off the lights, and the gun goes off. Ellen's response? "Oh, Eugene!"
Police Academy 2
Tackleberry and his date go over to her house to meet her parents. The couple is sitting on the couch, her father is sitting on the recliner, and the brother comes into the room. The father talks about how Hisson is a great boxer and wants to demonstrate it. As a result, the two engage in a punching match, with the father and son duking it out. The brother punches the dad in the stomach and he doubles over. Mom comes in and says "Oh you boys! Time for dinner," in that June Cleaver tone of voice. Ellen is sitting on the couch laughing, but Tackleberry looks fearful. The look on his face is priceless, no words needed.
At the end when Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke) and her mom Diane (Jobeth Williams)falls through the ceiling after battling the 'other side' and rushed to the bathtub to get cleaned off. After they wake up Carol Anne says "Hi Daddy," and everyone starts to laugh and cry. They're reunited with one another again!
It has to be where all the lads go to meet Miss Cherry Forever, and they're all lined up naked wanting for her to finish with the two other lads!!! Then the two lads start giving out screaming noises from the awaited room. They came barging through the door, covered in blood and screaming for help. Then all of a sudden this huge guy with a blooded sword comes marching through saying that he's going to kill everybody. Pee-Wee then decides to get out of there before getting caught by his brother who's the police man!!! FUNNY!!
Pretty In Pink
The scene where the Duckman lays a kiss on Iona. Gotta love that reaction. Iona's nostalgia scene where she's dancing in her prom dress.
When Claire is waiting for Blaine to pick her up and Iona turns on Try a little tenderness by Otis redding and Duckie lip synches it. I thought it was amazing.
The scene where Blaine has taken Andy home after a terrible first date. Andy is kind of down because she figures that Blaine will never ask her out again...and then it happens. Blaine blurts out "Would you feel any better if I were to ask you to the prom...I know it's kind of lame, but..." THEN Andie grabs Blaine and kisses him. WOW...how romantic!
Ducky is up in Andie`s room waiting on her to bring back something to drink and he starts belting out a song and she hears him from the vents and he is talking to himself and says "I love this girl, should I tell her?" "She will laugh" Then he completely chickens out and leaves.
Definately when Andy goes to leave the prom all upset and then....Duckie shows up looking so cute! And when you feel sorry for Duckie because Andy goes back to Blaine at the end, that girl starts checking out Duckie and he looks behind him to make sure she's looking at him!
When Duckie goes into the record store before Andie's date and starts to lip-sing to the 2 girls.
There are two from this one:
  • When Blaine does the computer trick to get Andy's attention.
  • When Duckie runs into the record store and dances to 'Try a littletenderness' by Otis Redding.
When Blaine's friend is badmouthing Andy, and Duckie turns around, charges at him, and proceeds to tackle him and beat him up. I wish I had my own Duckie :(
When Blaine asks Claire out for a date, she tells him that she liked his computer trick and tells him it was clever. His response is "Clever, terribly clever."
Duckie is in Andie's room trying to get help with his paper and she goes downstairs to get them drinks. Duckie talks to himself about how much he loves her and how he has to tell her, and starts to sing "Love is Real."
Molly Ringwald and her friend are in gym class, and her friends whispers to one of those bitchy popular girls, "I hope they shrivel up and fall off." And the gym teacher asks her to repeat what she said, so she does. Then the gym teacher says, "You hope what shrivels up and falls off?" And Molly Ringwald's friend says, "Her breasts, Miss Deeds."
OMG Love the movie, but my favorite scene would have to be when Duckie goes into the record store and starts lip synching, omg how hot was that. Although its supposed to be funny which it is it gets me wishing i had a duckie.
The scene where Buttercup and Prince Humperdink are getting married. I loved the way the priest talked and said the words like "Mawwidge" and "Wove, twue wove".
The fight scene between Inigo and "The Man in Black," one of my favorite sword fighting scenes ever. "You seem a decent fellow, I hate to kill you." "You seem a decent fellow, I hate to die." The verbal banter is fantastic.
Although this whole movie is so amazing it is really hard to choose just one scene to write about, I think I'm going to have to go with the "inconceivable" scene. This is the one just after Buttercup is kidnapped and she and the three kidnappers are on the lake making their escape. Inigo and Fezig the Giant are fooling around with rhymes, the Sicilian guy tells them to shut up, then Inigo tells him that they are being followed by someone. "Inconceivable!" the Sicilian responds with a very Daffy-Duck sort of lisp thing happening and writes it off as being a fisherman, although he has a hard time convincing anyone. Later, when it has become obvious this guy is following them, they try to escape up the Cliffs of Insanity. When Inigo once again points out that the Man in Black is climbing up after them, the answer is once again "Inconceivable!!" Then comes easily the greatest line in the movie. Inigo turns to his boss and says, "You keep saying that word. I don't think it means what you think it means..."
Where Inigo is getting ready to fight the six-fingered man, and they're all in fighting stances, in a staredown- and the six-fingered man turns around and runs away!
Project X
When Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt are helping the chimps escape the deadly flight simulater in the government lab. Action Packed!!!
